I recently adopted a 5 month female Shih Tzu. She is, unfortunately, badly matted and I have made an appointment for her at the groomer's. I believe that you if you have a coated dog, it should retain it's coat. If you want a short haired dog, that is what you should get! However, living in Texas, and with the summer months coming up, I don't want little Sheba to suffer with the heat. I don't mind grooming her, and usually do all of my own grooming, but since it has been quite some time since I had a coated dog, I no longer have any combs or brushes that are appropriate for her care. I really liked the cocker cut you had a picture of on your site. Do you recommend this cut ? Like I said, I want her to retain most of her coat, just don't want her over heating! What would you suggest be my first purchases for recollecting grooming items for a coated dog? I'm thinking I'll probably not invest in clippers, as we have several very reputable groomers very near our home and I would rather drop her off with them for major cuts, I just need the items required to maintain her between groomings. Thanks for any advice you can share!

Carol is a wonderful lady, she and her husband have been exhibiting and breeding dogs for decades and they really know their stuff. Both are warm and friendly people who care deeply about who and where their puppies go. They are both also well versed in exotic parrots and it's a treat to get them talking about that as well. Intelligent, Honest and Well Respected, you can't go wrong buying your puppy from this family.
